This needs to be sorted out before any laws are made:
The rules of Spelunca aren't here to be obnoxious and tedious, though rules usually seem to be, but to make the forum usable and friendly for all of it's members. Without rules, chaos would quickly ensue on Spelunca, which, as you know, is to be avoided. I'm only here to make the rules and to make sure that you keep them; I can't, however, force you to keep them, so it's your responsibility. If you toe the line on major rules too much there is a good chance that you will be banned from the forum. This may seem cruel, but it's simply fair and a necessary precaution for the other members.
Of course, if you follow the rules then you most certainly won't get banned; which is why I'm going to post them.
There are minor rules about spam and post quality, basic forum etiquette, and signature/avatar dimension (you probably won't get moderated for some of these unless they are rather extreme, but they are still there for you to follow). Then there are major rules concerning language, conduct, Straying from Catholic values (We don't wish to offend anyone, but this is a conservative, Catholic site and we desire to keep it as such.), and image guidelines. You will be moderated for these, and even banned in more extreme cases (though of course you will be given warnings).
When a moderator edits a post, they cut out the offensive part (we sincerely hope that there will be no offensive posts) and make a note (in their specific Mod color) as to why it had to be edited. They will probably then send a PM to the member mentioning it. We don't pre-approve posts when they are made, so we apologize if we don't get to post as quickly as one would like, but we will try our best.
So please be attentive, and read all of the rules posted. They will be on other threads in the Rules and Regulations forum, split up by category so that you don't have to read one enormous post (and so I don't have to make it all at once :=P: )
From your boring admin,
